Pazirik is a family-owned business operating in Sintra, Portugal, for over 25 years. We specialize in sourcing, restoring, and offering antique Persian kilims, carpets, and ceramics. We aim to find genuine, rare, and attractive high-quality items from their original production places.

We carefully evaluate the condition of each vintage article we acquire and take the necessary steps to restore it to its best optimal quality. We consider these articles as pieces of art rather than mere products.

Upon receiving the acquired articles at our warehouse in Iran, we examine each one and develop a restoration plan, which is then implemented. Some articles require extensive work, while others may only need routine washing and cleaning.

We occasionally create kilims and carpets when we have a viable idea or receive a special order from a customer. For instance, our minimalist Mazandaran kilims are inspired by antique Mazandaran jajims, which are very fine flatweaves unsuitable for use as floor coverings.

 

Once sufficient masterfully restored vintage articles are available, they are baled and airfreighted to Portugal. Finally, the artifacts are made available to our visitors online and at our showroom in Sintra, Portugal.
